Installation Instructions for Millenium D Host Software

Before flashing the Millenium D Host Software, install the most current version of the Millenium-D Console Control Software on your PC.Ê This program can be found at www.radiosytems.com/software.html.

1. Download and unzip the attached file into a convenient folder on the PC that will be used to reprogram the console.
2. Close all programs running on the PC.
3. Launch Millenium-D Console Control Software, select console #1 and click OK. Note the Console Software Version at the top of the window.
4. Select Com Port => Select Com Port 1. Click OK.
5. Exit the Millenium-D Console Control Software.
6. Launch "Millenium-D Tiny Bootloader". START => ALL PROGRAMS => Millenium-D Control Software V1.30 => Millenium-D Tiny Boot loader
7. In the Comm Box set the baud rate to 9600. Set the COM port to COM 1.
8. Browse to the file Mill_D NO BOOTLDR V X.XX hex.
9. Install jumper JU14 "BOOTLOAD HOST" on the Millenium-D Digital Output Board. See attached PDF ("Digital Output Board") for jumper location.
10. Click the "Write Flash" button on the Tiny Bootloader.
11. The Tiny Bootloader message window will say:
Connect COM1: ok
HEX: xx days old, INHX32,18Fcode+cfg, total=7650 words
Searching for PIC ...Found:18F 6520/8520,
12. A progress bar will appear and finally the message:
WRITE OK.  time: 22.123 sec (approximately)
13. Close the Tiny Bootloader.
14. Remove jumper JU14 "BOOTLOAD HOST" from the Millenium-D Digital Output Board.
15. Remove console power. Wait 30 seconds and re-apply power.
16. Launch the Millenium-D Control Software. Select console #1 and click OK. Note the Console Software Version at the top of the window. It should now be the updated version number.
